Joyce Davis
Joyce is a retired librarian, having graduated from Kansas
State Teachers College, and then the University of Illinois.
She has been active in several Audubon chapters, and is
currently a member of the Wichita Audubon Society.
Joyce has traveled throughout the United States, as well
as abroad, to places including Peru, Ecuador and Mexico.
She is presently a member of The National Audubon Society,
The Nature Conservancy, The National Wildlife Federation,
The Kansas Wildflower Society, and she supports the Chaplin
Nature Center. Joyce is a charter member of the AOK board,
and supports Audubon because “it encourages citizens
to collect scientific information".
She now lives in Dodge City, creating wildlife habitat
in her yard, leading local bird and wildflower trips,
and doing bird counts for national reports.
Joyce also enjoys birds, wildflowers, quilts, libraries
and museums, and likes to read fantasy, science fiction,
and mystery books. |
