Neva Heikes

Neva joined the AOK board in 2001 while serving as President of the Smoky Hills Audubon Society. She is currently serves the local chapter as Vice-President. She works in retail and at the Smoky Hills Education Center, in addition to volunteering at the Rolling Hills Wildlife Center.

She graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science degree with a wildlife emphasis. Neva’s interests include birding, all things environmental, and her zoo work with the Jane Goodall Institute. She also enjoys working on local issues, because “how do we expect other countries and areas to care about environmental issues when we are not seeing to our own backyards?”

We invite you to participate and contribute to our conservation efforts and keep Audubon of Kansas moving forward. Your tax-deductible contributions and volunteer efforts sustain our non-profit organization and are essential to all aspects of our work—from advocacy, legislative liaison, education, and support of wildlife-friendly landowners, to our office staff, publications and website. We need your commitment!
