Kaw Valley Eagles Day 2010- If Kids Ruled the Bird Kingdom!

Audubon of Kansas had the chance to have a booth at the 14th Annual Kaw Valley Eagles Day event this past January in Lawrence, KS. Alongside our informational booth, Director of Development, Mike Hudson, worked with children to draw the "bird of their dreams". Each child had a different take on what their dream bird was, some birds were gun-toting warrior birds, others were friendly birds that were attached to their best friends. Children were given the choice of keeping their drawings or having them put on our website. Below are some of the very imaginitave birds they came up with (in no particular order)! We had a great time meeting all of these kids and look forward to being back next January!
