Preserve Your Land as You Wish
Legacy Protected Areas are properties designated to become AOK Protected Areas in the future through mechanisms such as a will, trust, or life estate. Given that access to public land in Kansas is quite limited compared to many other states, AOK recognizes the importance of making land available for wildlife, public recreation, research, and other uses typically not accessible on privately owned property. Conversely, AOK is also conscious of the responsibilities that come with accepting property and the commitment to manage it indefinitely.
There are many ways to partner with AOK to ensure your land remains protected for future generations. Whether you want to preserve natural habitats, support biodiversity, honor your family’s history, or maintain a wildlife-friendly working farm or ranch, AOK can help create a conservation plan that aligns with your vision. Learn more about your options in our brochure, "Your Land, Your Legacy," which outlines how you can safeguard your land forever.
